The first Boy Scout game is called the cup game. The cup game is a lot like hot potato, but without music. The scouts stand in a circle and toss a plastic cup underhanded to another scout, excluding the scouts to the immediate left and right. If a scout or scouts try to catch the cup and fail, then those scout or scouts will be expedited from the game. The game continues until there are only two scouts remaining. The scout who makes the other drop the cup will be declared the champion.
The next boy scout game is called sharks and minnows. All of the scouts except for one are the minnows, and they stand in a line on one side of the room. The other scout is the shark, who tries to tag all of the scouts. The shark says "go," and all of the minnows run to the opposite side of the room, trying not to be tagged. Once a minnow is tagged, he has to sit in the place he was tagged, and depending on the version of the rules, he may or may not be able to tag the remaining minnows. The final minnow that has not been tagged becomes the shark for the next round.
